About the race
Oh Meu Deus by UTMB is a trail running event in the Center of Portugal based in Seia and running through the Serra da Estrela and neighbouring mountain ranges. The event includes multiple race distances with specified elevation gains and UTMB Running Stones.
Distances:
- 167 km : 8,900 m+ elevation, Running Stones 4
- 94 km : 5,300 m+ elevation, Running Stones 3
- 52 km : 2,900 m+ elevation, Running Stones 2
- 22 km : 1,000 m+ elevation, Running Stones 1
The route travels through schist villages, ancestral trails, forests and mountain places within the Serra da Estrela Natural Park and, from 2025, also through Serra do Açor, Serra da Lousã, Schist Villages, Mountain Villages and Historic Villages. The event materials describe an emphasis on local culture and landscape, noting silence of the forests, aromas of the mountains and the strength of Portuguese roots. Organisers present the athlete as a visible part of regional recovery after wildfires, linking runners to community resilience and renewal.
