OdySea "Aquari-RUN" 5K
The OdySea Aquari-RUN is a sloth themed running event and fundraiser held at the Arizona Boardwalk in Scottsdale, Arizona. The event benefits the OdySea Aquarium Foundation, a nonprofit partner that supports local education programs and conservation work.
The event program includes in-person and virtual options and several participant categories:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 5K Run/Walk - Kids (ages 12 and under)
- Two-Toed Trot untimed race for the youngest participants
- Virtual Run with mailed swag for U.S. addresses
Race features published by the organizer include custom finisher medals and Dri-Fit shirts (with an option to decline the shirt for a small discount), male and female age group awards for the 5K, and a costume contest with prizes such as aquarium tickets or artwork. Showing the 2027 finisher medal at the aquarium ticket booth provides a $5 discount on admission the day of the event. The event is chip timed with real time results and event photos; virtual participants receive instructions on how to submit their time and will receive medal and shirt by mail after the event.
Logistics and participant notes: packet pickup is available the day before near the aquarium ticket office and on the event day at the Arizona Boardwalk event site; mail-in registrations are accepted through March 29, 2027. The event is rain or shine, offers wheelchair and stroller access, allows leashed pets, and prohibits roller blades, skateboards, and motorized devices on the course.
