Event details
The OdySea "Aquari-RUN" 5K is scheduled for April 19, 2026 at the Arizona Boardwalk, East Vía de Ventura in Scottsdale, AZ. The event is the fifth annual OdySea Aquari-RUN and benefits the OdySea Aquarium Foundation. The race has an octopus theme; participants are encouraged to wear octopus-themed attire. The event is family oriented, leashed pet friendly, and welcomes wheelchairs, strollers, and wagons. The event takes place rain or shine; there are no refunds or transfers due to weather.
Race format and logistics
Distances offered:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 5K Run/Walk - Kids (ages 12 and under)
- Kiddie Kraken Dash (untimed)
- Virtual Run (US addresses only)
All participants receive a custom finisher's medal and custom event shirt (option to decline shirt). The Kiddie Kraken Dash is untimed and includes a medal and shirt; parents who only accompany children on the course do not need to register. The 5K includes age group awards for the top three in each age division for race day participants only; age groups range from 8 & Under through 80 & Over. The event uses chip timing with real time results and event photos. Packet pickup is available at Arizona Boardwalk on the day before and on race day.
