Ochil Ultra
The Ochil Ultra is a trail running event on the Ochil Hills in Scotland held on 26 September 2026 and organised by Wee Run Events. It offers marked end to end routes with checkpoints, water stations and drop-bag support approximately every 10 miles. Chip timing and GPS tracking are used for all competitors. Medals are provided to all finishers and prizes are awarded to top finishers.
Distances:
- 50 miles Stirling to Perth along the Ochils
- 30 miles Auchterarder to Perth
- 100 miles Perth to Stirling and back limited entry with qualifying criteria
The 100 mile event is a limited-entry race for experienced runners who meet qualifying requirements and is expected to be supported by a crew. The route for the longer events uses core path networks across the Ochils and is fully marked. Photographers record finish and course scenes and food, refreshments and sports massage are available at the finish area. Toilets are provided at the finish.
Safety measures include a GPS tracker issued to every runner, a medic team, marshals on the route and the possibility of a race-director diversion to an alternative, safer route if required. Compulsory kit items include a head torch, whistle, mobile phone, emergency blanket, emergency food and drink and the issued GPS tracker. Recommended items include waterproofs, a map, a first aid kit and spare clothing for wet sections. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
