About the race
The Oceanic Khorfakkan Triathlon is part of the Oceanic Multisport Series organized by Oceanic Hotel in cooperation with Endurance Sports Services. The event takes place in Khorfakkan and starts with a swim in the calm waters of the Arabian Sea and the Indian Ocean, continues with a bike leg on roads managed by Sharjah Police, and finishes with a run along the new jogging track on the Khorfakkan Corniche. The course is described as smooth and fast and the venue is about a 90 minute drive from Dubai.
Multiple race distances are offered:
- Olympic: Swim 1500 m, Bike 40 km, Run 10 km
- Sprint: Swim 750 m, Bike 24.6 km, Run 5 km
- Super Sprint: Swim 375 m, Bike 16.4 km, Run 2.5 km
- Junior: Swim 150 m, Bike 8 km, Run 1.5 km
Mixed relay teams of two or three athletes are eligible to enter. A race village will provide sporting goods, bike mechanics, coffee and refreshments. All registered athletes receive an awards breakfast voucher; additional breakfast tickets are available for guests for a fee. Entry includes a certificate, medal, photo service or download, refreshments, timing, breakfast for participants, a T shirt and a swim cap.
