Ocean Springs Rotary 5k
The Ocean Springs Rotary 5k takes place in Ocean Springs, Mississippi on 10/17/2026. The event uses a USATF certified course (MS20004MS) that starts at Fort Maurepas, runs along the front beach, goes up the bridge, and returns to the start area. The event is held at night and safety gear is mandatory; participants should wear lights or reflective clothing.

Race walker entries must follow USATF race walking guidelines. "Race walking requires the competitor to maintain contact with the ground at all times and requires the leading leg to be straightened as the foot makes contact with the ground. It must remain straightened until the leg passes under the body."
Entry fees are listed as $35 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under in the Kids' 1 Mile. Only the first 200 registered participants are guaranteed a race shirt; all Kids' 1 Mile participants receive a cotton t-shirt. Awards are given for the standard divisions in the 5K. After the race there will be music, food, and drinks; all registered runners receive one barbecue sandwich. A costume contest is presented by Margaritaville with awards for best male and female costumes and best boy and girl kids' costumes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
