ARAVAIPA's OC Trail Runners Group Run : Newport Coast
Aravaipa hosts a free, social, non-competitive, slower-paced group run at El Moro and Laguna Coast Wilderness Park in Newport Beach on Saturday, May 30, 2026. The event is organized by Aravaipa’s California Race Director and the OC Trail Runner leadership.
Participants meet in front of the restrooms at Coastal Peak Park, 20403 East Coastal Peak, Newport Coast, near the intersection of East Coastal Peak and Ridge Park Road. The planned route for this meeting is approximately 5.5 miles with roughly 500 feet of vertical gain and includes a few short rocky sections. The route is subject to change due to occasional intermittent closures within the park.
The run emphasizes enjoying the outdoors and social interaction. Organizers request that participants have some trail running experience before joining the group run. After the run there are complimentary snacks and a raffle drawing for a prize. Participants are advised to bring their own hydration and some fuel for the route.
