5k Beer Run x Obsidian Brewery
The 5k Beer Run x Obsidian Brewery is an untimed fun run that takes place in Leander, Texas, as part of the '25-'26 Texas Brewery Running Series. Participants can run, walk, or jog a 5 km course that starts and ends at the Obsidian Brewery taproom. The route is designed to showcase the surrounding neighborhood and is marked with arrows to guide participants through the open course.
As roads are not closed for the event, participants are responsible for obeying all traffic laws while on city sidewalks, streets, and trails. The event is open to participants of all ages. Dogs and strollers are permitted on the course, provided they are managed with caution.
Registered participants receive several items and benefits:
- One craft beer at the finish line (or a non-alcoholic beverage for those under 21)
- A collector's pint glass or seasonal swag item
- Access to event festivities including live music and games
- Eligibility for prizes such as brewery merchandise
The event operates on a rain or shine basis. There is no bag check available on-site, and a valid ID is required for participants to receive alcoholic beverages.
