Oakville 21.1 : Event details
Oakville 21.1 features three distances: a Half Marathon (21.1 km), a 10 km, and a 5 km, all starting and finishing at Shell Park, Lakeshore Road West, Oakville, Ontario. The route runs along the lakeshore, passes through neighbourhoods south of Lakeshore, and includes a loop through Tannery Park.
Aid stations supply water and electrolyte hydration approximately every 3 km. Portable toilets are available at each aid station and at the start/finish area. The half marathon has a cutoff time of 3.5 hours after its start. Dogs and strollers are not permitted on the course. Every finisher receives an event T-shirt and a finisher's medal. Pace bunnies will be available for the half marathon; specific pace groups will be published closer to race day.
There is no race-day parking at Shell Park; a shuttle service runs from the Bronte GO Station to the race venue. Bag check is available at Shell Park; volunteers staff the area but the organizers do not accept responsibility for valuables. There is no race-day kit pick up; advance kit pickup options and a VIP pickup option are provided in the week before the event.
The event policy does not allow refunds. If the event is cancelled due to weather, participants may receive their race kit and complete the event virtually. Transfers between runners or distances are allowed until race week for an administrative fee. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
