Oakville 21.1
The Oakville 21.1 is a road running event held in Oakville, Ontario. The race features a flat and fast course that runs along the lakeshore and through local neighborhoods. The event starts and finishes at Shell Park, located at 3307 Lakeshore Road W.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- Half Marathon (21.1 km)
- 10 km
- 5 km
The route heads along Lakeshore Road and explores residential areas to the south, including a loop through Tannery Park. Aid stations providing water and electrolyte hydration are positioned approximately every 3 km along the course. Portable toilets are located at these stations and at the start/finish line. A course cut-off time of 3.5 hours is enforced for the half marathon distance.
For safety reasons, dogs and strollers are not permitted in any of the races. Pace bunnies are available for the half marathon distance to assist runners in meeting specific time goals. All finishers receive an event t-shirt and a medal.
There is no participant parking available at Shell Park on race day. A free shuttle service operates between the Bronte Go Station and the race venue for both runners and spectators. A bag check service is available on-site for personal belongings. Race kits must be picked up in advance during designated times in Toronto or Oakville, as there is no kit pick-up on the morning of the event.
