Oak and Coal Ultra 2027
The Oak and Coal Ultra is a brewery to brewery, mixed terrain ultra of 50k organised by Quadrio Events around Sherwood and the surrounding area. The route starts and finishes at Ticking Clock Brewery in Shireoaks, Worksop, Nottinghamshire, and passes through Clumber Park, local woodlands, and several former colliery villages. It also covers sections of the Robin Hood Way and the Cuckoo Way.
The course includes around 1,700 feet of ascent and is routed along footpaths and minor roads. Participants receive a GPX file and written instructions for navigation; the route will not be signposted. There are four well stocked aid stations spaced at approximately seven miles apart. Marshalls will staff aid stations and key road crossings. The event offers a drop bag at CP2 and an optional drop sandwich bag at halfway for food items.
There is a 10 hour cut off for completing the course. The minimum age to enter is 18. On arrival and after the event there will be food and beverage options, local food vendors, and live music from a resident DJ at the event headquarters at Ticking Clock Brewery.
