Oak and Coal Ultra 2027
The Oak and Coal Ultra is the second annual brewery to brewery 50k mixed-terrain event starting and finishing at Ticking Clock Brewery in Shireoaks, Worksop, Nottinghamshire. The route runs through North Nottinghamshire, including Sherwood woodlands and Clumber Park, and passes through former colliery villages.
The course uses footpaths and minor roads and includes sections of the Robin Hood Way and the Cuckoo Way. The route has around 1,700 feet of total elevation. Organisers will provide a GPX file and written navigation notes; the course will not be waymarked.
Support includes four aid stations spaced at roughly seven mile intervals, a drop bag point at CP2 and a separate drop sandwich bag option at the halfway point. Marshalls will staff aid stations and key road crossings. Food and beverage options will be available at the finish area, where a resident DJ will provide music at event headquarters and the start and finish.
Entries are available for solo runners and pairs, with a minimum age of 18. Entry fees listed are Solo £45 and pairs £85; a pairs entry does not require both entrants to run together. Participants receive a commemorative pint glass with a 2027 colourway. There is a prize for the brewery’s favourite team name. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
