O-Sho Trail Series
The O-Sho Trail Series is a running event presented by the Trails Foundation of Northern Utah. Based in Ogden, the series is designed to bring together individuals of various experience levels for weekday evening races on the local trail networks. All registration fees are directed back into the maintenance and support of the trails used during the events.
The course for the series utilizes the Ogden Bonneville Shoreline Trail. Participants start at the 27th Street Trailhead and travel north toward the Ogden Canyon overlook. The route includes a short out-and-back section on the Fire Road before returning to the starting point via the Bonneville Shoreline Trail. The course is approximately 5 km in distance and features between 400 and 500 feet of vertical gain.
The event operates without aid stations on the course, so runners are responsible for carrying their own water and nutrition. Water is available at the start and finish lines. Recommended gear includes trail-specific shoes, sun protection, and a GPS-enabled device for navigation. The course is marked with flags on race days.
The series includes multiple dates:
- April 5k
- June 5k
- September 5k
Packet pickup takes place at Fleet Feet the day before the final race. Participants receive a goodie bag and a gift from the Trails Foundation of Northern Utah at this time. Please note that for insurance reasons, dogs are not permitted to accompany participants during the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
