NYRR Summer Speed Series #2
NYRR Summer Speed Series #2 is a scored track and field meet held at Icahn Stadium on Randall’s Island as part of the 2026 Summer Speed Series. Competition takes place on a 400-meter Mondo track. Event spots are limited and entry fees range from $0.00 to $21.15. All event information is subject to change.
The meet offers a full lineup of track and field events, including:
- 1500 meters
- 400 meters
- 100 meters
- Long jump
- Shot put
- Distance medley relay
The series includes multiple meet dates and a separate championships invitational. To qualify for the championships, athletes must finish among the top competitors in at least one event during the series; the number of top finishers who qualify may vary by event and meet date. Rising NYRR participants ages 12 to 18 may join the race-day activities for free; registration is required.
NYRR provides training resources such as in-person group training, virtual programs through NYRR x Runna, and free training guides. NYRR aims to make events accessible and offers a process for requesting reasonable accommodations. There is no bag check; NYRR is not responsible for unattended bags.
