NYRR Start Line Series - Queens
NYRR Start Line Series - Queens is a free, timed community fun run held Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Queens Summer Streets in Astoria (3424 Vernon Blvd, Astoria, NY 11106). The event offers a scored 3 Mile course as part of a multi-site series presented in partnership with NYC DOT's Summer Streets program.
The course begins on Vernon Boulevard south of 33rd Road, proceeds south on the northbound lanes, crosses Roosevelt Island Bridge access via 36th Avenue, and continues under the Queensboro Bridge. There is one aid station at mile 1.3 north of 44th Avenue and a U-turn point just south of 44th Avenue at mile 1.4. The return leg includes a short loop under the Roosevelt Island Bridge and finishes on Vernon Boulevard south of 33rd Road. Bag check is available on Vernon Boulevard north of 33rd Road.
Children ages 8 and older may participate in the 3 Mile event; guardians are encouraged to consider each child’s comfort and ability when deciding about participation. Finisher souvenirs are available while supplies last. Timing, scoring, and race-day production are provided by NYRR.
Bib pickup is offered on several pre-event dates at the New Balance Run Hub (322 West 57th Street) and at Westfield World Trade Center (185 Greenwich Street), with additional race-day pickup at Race Day Central on Vernon Boulevard just north of 33rd Road. Volunteer participation at these events can count toward volunteer credit for guaranteed entry programs. If local authorities cancel the event, it will not be rescheduled.
