NYCRUNS Brooklyn Ice Cream Social 5K
The NYCRUNS Brooklyn Ice Cream Social 5K is a single-day 5-kilometer race held in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, NY on July 25, 2026. The course runs just under one full loop of the park and finishes with a final sprint up Center Drive. All NYCRUNS courses are USATF-certified.
The Festival Area is located in the Nethermead and is accessible via Center Drive or the walking paths off Well House Drive. The race finishes on Center Drive near the Festival Area. Bike parking in the Festival Area is prohibited and locking bikes to NYCRUNS signage is not allowed.
On-course and finish amenities include water and electrolyte fluids, portable bathrooms, bag check (one single clear bag required; an 18 x 24 clear bag may be provided), and post-race refreshments that include a bag of pretzels, an apple, and an ice cream or ice pop option (dairy or non-dairy). Race giveaways include a tech shirt and a finisher medal; shirts are available for pick up on race day only and sizes are not guaranteed. Race photos are distributed by MarathonFoto after the event.
Start corrals are pace-based and assigned by letter (AA-F) with corrals located on Well House Drive. Handcycle and Wheelchair Division athletes are accommodated and are entered into those divisions when their account reflects that designation. Results are emailed and posted online. Awards are given to the top three overall male, female, and non-binary finishers and to top three finishers in multiple age groups. Membership benefits include a 20% entry discount and other registration options; bibs can be mailed to members and non-members only under specified conditions.
