Course and logistics
The 5K course covers just under one full loop of Prospect Park with a final run up Center Drive to the finish. The course is USATF-certified. Start corrals are pace-based and assigned by letter (AA-F); corral locations are on Well House Drive and assignments are based on the pace in a runner's NYCRUNS profile. Bibs are available for pick up on race day in the Festival Area in the Nethermead; members may receive mailed bibs if registration occurs at least 20 days before the event and the mailing address is in the United States. Bike parking in the Festival Area is not allowed. Mass transit options and nearby subway and bus stops are identified for access.
Amenities, entries and policies
Amenities include bag check (single clear bag requirement), portable bathrooms, course hydration with water and electrolyte fluids, post-race snacks (pretzels and an apple) and race photos provided after the event. Swag includes a tech shirt (race-day pickup only; sizes not guaranteed) and a finisher medal. Results are emailed and posted online. Awards are given to the top three male, female and non-binary overall finishers and to top three in each age group (specified age ranges).
