NYBG 5K Fun Run
The NYBG 5K Fun Run on Sunday, September 27, 2026, takes place throughout the New York Botanical Garden in the Bronx. The 3.1-mile course passes the Maureen K. Chilton Azalea Garden, the Judy and Michael Steinhardt Maple Collection, and historic landmarks such as the Lillian and Amy Goldman Stone Mill, the Mertz Building, and the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. The event marks the end of Climate Week NYC and is the Garden’s second annual 5K.
The course design is updated for this year, and although the event is not officially timed, a finish line clock is available for participants who wish to track their performance. The run was developed in partnership with the Boogie Down Bronx Run Club; club members will provide course support during the event.
Registration includes an All-Garden Pass admission, run registration, a commemorative NYBG 5K T-shirt, and music and activities. Post-run festivities are held on Daffodil Hill and include meet-and-greets with Boogie Down Bronx Run Club members and NYBG experts. The event is rain or shine.
Participants must be ages 13 and older. Those under 18 require parent or guardian permission; unaccompanied minors are not permitted. Tickets go on sale June 1, with Early Bird and Standard pricing for Members and Non-Members. Location: New York Botanical Garden, 2900 Southern Blvd, Bronx, NY 10458-5126.
