Nutley Chamber 5K & Kids Fun Run : Nutley High School Park Oval
This community event includes a main 5K race plus short youth runs held at Nutley High School Park Oval, 300 Franklin Avenue, Nutley, NJ. Registration opens January 1; some registration deadlines affect fees and team pricing.
Distances and youth age groups:
- 5K
- Short Sprint : 0.25 miles, age 5 and under
- Kids Fun Run : for ages 6 to 8
Entry fees and deadlines are tiered: the 5K has a lower early-registration fee through April 26 and a higher fee afterward; team pricing applies for 5K teams of 10 or more when pre-registered by April 26. Short Sprint and Kids Fun Run have a small fee, or are free with an adult 5K registration. Fees are non-refundable.
Event details include trophies for 5K overall places and age categories, medals for Short Sprint and Kids Fun Run participants, a prize for the largest pre-registered 5K team, and free T-shirts for pre-registered participants. The 5K course is described as slightly challenging and includes a water station about halfway. The event runs rain or shine. No strollers are allowed on the Oval Field and no pets are permitted in the Oval complex. Complimentary refreshments and door prizes are provided.
