NSRF The Watermelon 5K Run/Walk Eisenhower Park
The Watermelon 5K is scheduled for July 12, 2026 at Eisenhower Park, Field 2 in East Meadow, New York. The event includes an in-person 5K run/walk, a virtual 5K option, and a free kiddie fun run. It is a team scoring race and part of the USATF-Long Island Grand Prix series.
Event services include personalized bibs for participants who register three weeks in advance and an option to have a bib mailed for a fee if registered at least ten days before the event. Virtual participants can submit their time and upload photos after completing their run. Race-day amenities listed by the organizer include course hydration, finish-line refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water, public bathrooms near the start and finish, and an informal area for leaving belongings. Late registrant shirts are subject to availability; early registration improves the chance of receiving a shirt.
Awards include watermelons for top finishers overall and for top males and females in age group categories: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80-89, and 90 and up.
