NSRF The Watermelon 5K Run/Walk Eisenhower
The event is a community 5K run and walk held on July 12, 2026, at Eisenhower Park Field 2 in East Meadow, New York. There is also a free Kiddie Fun Run and a virtual 5K option that allows participants to submit times and photos from elsewhere.

Registration includes options for in-person or virtual participation and a bib mailing option for an additional fee. Early registrants can receive a personalized bib when they register at least three weeks before the event. A themed shirt referred to as a watermelon seedless tee is available for registrants while supplies last.
Amenities listed for the event include on-course hydration, finish-line refreshments and fresh watermelon provided by event partners, and public bathrooms near the start and finish. There is an informal area for leaving belongings; organizers do not offer formal bag check or assume responsibility for personal items.
The race is part of the USATF Long Island Grand Prix and is scored as a team event. Awards include whole watermelons for top finishers overall and for top finishers in multiple age groups, including 14 and under, 15 to 19, 20 to 29, 30 to 39, 40 to 49, 50 to 59, 60 to 69, 70 to 79, 80 to 89, and 90 plus.
