NSRF The Watermelon 5K Run/Walk Eisenhower
The Watermelon 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for July 12, 2026 at Eisenhower Park Field 2 in East Meadow, New York. The event offers an in-person 5K and a virtual 5K option, plus a free kiddie fun run. Event staging is located near Parking Lot 2 at the park.

The event is part of the USATF Long Island Grand Prix and is a team scoring race. Awards include watermelons for the top overall male and female finishers and for top finishers in multiple age groups, including 14 and under, 15-19, 20-29, and continuing by decade up to 90 plus.
Participant amenities listed include personalized bibs for those who register early, event shirts subject to availability, on-course hydration and finish-line drinks, public bathrooms near start and finish, and an informal area for leaving belongings. Post-race items and refreshments will include offerings from All Round Foods, fresh watermelon, and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Virtual participants may submit times and photos and may receive mailed items prior to the event if registered in advance.
