NSRF NYC Strawberry Fest 5K & Half Marathon
The event takes place in Prospect Park, Brooklyn, with staging at the Grecian Shelter also known as the Peristyle. Registration is not yet open. Donations benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that supports Special Needs and youth running events and athlete development.
Distances offered
- 5K: USATF certified loop, one loop
- Half Marathon: four loops, cutoff time 2:45 hrs; must begin final lap by 2:05 hrs
Course details note that the 5K start is south of Duck Island adjacent to St. Pauls Place, approximately 365 meters northeast of the finish line. The Half Marathon start and finish and bib pickup are at the Grecian Shelter Peristyle. Runners in multi-loop events must cross the finish mats on each lap for accurate split timing and synced finish photos.
Amenities include an informal bag check area, bathrooms within a few minutes walk from the start and finish, hydration at the finish line, and post-race refreshments provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Participants receive a Strawberry Fest medal and tee. A virtual option is available; virtual entrants have from the event start day plus one week to log a time and up to five photos, and race items begin shipping the first day of the event.
