Fallback Half Marathon & 5K
This event on November 1, 2026 is held at Heckscher State Park Field 4 in East Islip, New York. It offers both in person and virtual entry options and recognizes age group results online.
Distances
- 5K: one loop of the course
- Half Marathon: four loops of a USATF certified course
The start and finish are located at the east end of Field 4 with check in at the gazebo east of the start line between Fields 1 and 4. Public bathrooms are a few minutes walk from the start and finish. Hydration is provided at the finish line and on each loop for half marathoners. An informal area for bag check is available in the staging area.
The event has a cutoff of 2 hours and 45 minutes for all participants and half marathoners must start the final loop by 11:10 AM. Participants receive a cuckoo medal and an event tee. High quality refreshments are provided by All Round Foods and Waterloo Sparkling Water. Bib mailing is available for an additional fee and virtual participants may upload times and photos during the event week. Donations benefit the Never Stop Running Foundation.
