Race details
The in-person course is a 5 km (3.1 miles) open road route starting from the Old E. Taylor school parking lot at 310 E. Poplar Street, across from Griffin Stadium. The race will not be chip timed; a horn start will be used and a timing crew will record finisher times. There will be one water station about halfway through the course. Course support will include volunteers and local police. All registrants receive a race T-shirt, bib, and a post-race hot breakfast provided by New Salem Baptist Church. Age-group medals will be awarded for multiple categories, including overall and masters, and standard age brackets from 9 and under to 80+. Walkers, runners, and strollers are welcome; minors running on their own must register and be accompanied by an adult. Pets are not allowed. Virtual participants may submit results by email to be included in the final results in a separate category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
