Northbrook District 27 PTA 5K, 1 Mile and Kid's Dash
The District 27 Council PTA event on September 26, 2026 is a community running event at Wood Oaks Park, 1250 Sanders Rd, Northbrook, IL. It presents multiple distances and activities intended for families and participants of all ages.
The 5K and 1 Mile courses are USATF certified and the event uses professional chip timing. The 5K is a single loop course. The Kids' 1 Mile takes place entirely inside the park. A new 100 meter Kid's Dash is offered for young athletes in kindergarten and younger.

The event raises money for the Rohrabaugh Scholarship Fund, which awards scholarships to Glenbrook North High School seniors who are graduates of Wood Oaks Junior High School.
Registration opens March 18, 2026; early registration runs through August 31, 2026. After August 31 prices increase and T-shirts are not guaranteed. Registration fees listed range from $15 to $32. Packet pick-up is at Wood Oaks Junior High School on Thursday, September 24 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, Friday, September 25 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm, and Saturday, September 26 from 6:30 to 7:45 am.
