Northbrook District 27 PTA 5K, 1 Mile and Kids’ Dash
The District 27 Council PTA event on September 26, 2026 takes place at Wood Oaks Park and Wood Oaks Junior High School in Northbrook, Illinois. It is presented as a family and community event to promote fitness for all age groups and to raise money for the Rohrabaugh Scholarship Fund.
Both the 5K course and the 1 Mile course are USATF certified and the race will be professionally timed using chip timing. The 5K course has been simplified to a single loop. The Kids' 1 Mile race stays entirely inside the park. The Kids' Dash includes a warm up exercise session followed by a dash and an obstacle course.
Registration opens March 18, 2026. After August 31 at 12:00am on September 1, 2026 prices increase and participants are not guaranteed a t-shirt; registrations will still be accepted but shirts are no longer guaranteed. Packet pick up is at Wood Oaks Junior High School on Thursday, September 24 from 4:00 to 6:00 pm, Friday, September 25 from 2:00 to 6:00 pm, and Saturday, September 26 from 6:30 to 7:45 am.
