North West Trail Running Series : Round 3: Penguin
Round 3 is a night trail running event at Mount Gnomon Farm, 886 Ironcliffe Rd, Penguin, on Saturday 29 August 2026. Runners navigate trails by headlamp across varied surfaces including a short road section, single track, and fire roads. The course features a mix of sustained climbs and descents.
Three course options are available:
- 5 km with 225 m elevation gain
- 10 km with 475 m elevation gain
- 17 km with 950 m elevation gain
Event logistics include onsite bib collection on the day of the event and an additional opportunity to collect bibs the evening before. There is ample parking inside the Mount Gnomon Farm property; participants are asked not to park on Ironcliffe Rd and to follow local signage.
A RunNation Film Festival screening takes place at Mount Gnomon Farm the evening before the race, combined with early bib collection and food and drinks available for purchase. The festival showcases independent running films from domestic and international makers.
