North West Trail Running Series - Race 3 (Penguin)
This event is Race 3 of the North West Trail Running Series, scheduled for 29 August 2026 at Mount Gnomon Farm, 886 Ironcliffe Rd, Penguin. The race is a nighttime trail run through The Dial Range and participants are expected to use headlamps and appropriate outdoor gear. Organisers note support on course so runners will not be unaccompanied on the route.
Three course categories are offered: Short, Medium and Long. Individual race entry fees are listed as Short $40, Medium $50 and Long $60, with an additional $10 charge for on-the-day entries. Bib collection is planned with an initial session on the Friday evening (to be confirmed) and final collection before the race on Saturday.
Camping is available at Mount Gnomon Farm. Facilities include toilets and showers and there will be food and drinks for purchase plus live music. Camping rates are Unpowered Site $10 per night and Powered Site $30 per night; glamping options are also offered and require booking through the farm.
Age requirements reflect the night setting: Short course participants under 13 must be accompanied by an adult for the entire course. The Medium course has a minimum age of 13 years by calendar year and the Long course has a minimum age of 16 years by calendar year.
