About the race
The Halloween Hustle is an annual running event in Gainesville, Texas, offering in-person and virtual options on the weekend of Halloween. The event is held at North Texas Medical Center, 1900 Hospital Boulevard, and benefits the North Texas Medical Center Foundation.
Participants can choose between the following distances:
- 5K
- 10K
The in-person course is USATF certified and uses digital timing with live results posted immediately after the races. In-person entrants receive a goodie bag from event sponsors and an event t-shirt; registering by Friday, October 10 guarantees a t-shirt size. Virtual entrants receive an event t-shirt mailed after October 25 and a finisher certificate for recording time and date; virtual participants are not eligible for additional awards.
Awards for the in-person races include plaques for the top male and female finishers in each distance, a plaque for the business and school with the most entries, and medals for first through third place within the defined age brackets for each race. Packet pick up is held at North Texas Medical Center on the two days before the event and on race day at the venue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
