North Star's Duck Dash 5k & Kid's Fun Run
This event in Cedar Falls, Iowa includes a community 5K Run/Walk and a separate Kids Fun Run for children 12 and under. The 5K is a timed out-and-back route that begins near the Paw Park and follows the bike trail along South Main, passing under Greenhill Road to a turn-around and returning to the start. The 5K includes a participant medal.
Packet pick-up is available at North Star Community Services, 3420 University Avenue in Waterloo, on Friday, July 17 from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm. Race-day packet pick-up is available at the event starting early on the morning of the event. Online registration deadlines and a t-shirt guarantee date are provided by the organizer; a t-shirt option is offered for an additional fee.
The Kids Fun Run takes place on the trail around The Falls Aquatic Center and is intended for children ages 12 and under. Each child receives a participant ribbon or gift. Following the runs, the Great Rubber Duck Splash fundraiser is held at The Falls with food trucks and kid activities.
