North of 7 Challenge, Cloyne ON
The North of 7 Challenge is an obstacle course event held in the woodlands of Move Better Basecamp in Cloyne, Ontario. The core course measures about 3 km and the event offers multiple race formats on the same terrain.
Options include a 3 km fun run and a 2 hour Endure challenge where participants complete as many 3 km loops as possible within the time limit. Some heats require mandatory obstacle completion to be eligible for prize money. There is an option that does not include a finisher t-shirt.
A Grit Loop requires finishing the 3 km course while carrying a 20 lb sandbag. A shorter youth course of about 1 km is offered; the youth course is not fully visible from the spectator area so parents are encouraged to accompany younger children on course.
The event also includes a Beer Kilometer team relay for teams of 2 or 4. This relay is a fundraiser for KGH Pediatrics and the registration donation is directed to that cause.
