Monster of Mazinaw Trail Race 2026
The event takes place at Bon Echo Provincial Park, Cloyne, Ontario, on September 19, 2026. Entry is limited to 250 participants and multiple race distances are offered on park trails that vary in character and difficulty.

Routes range from wide groomed trails to technical, rocky single track, with a larger proportion of technical single track. A back-country section includes rocks, roots and steep ascents and descents and can be very slippery when wet. Runners should be prepared to be self-reliant for stretches of about 12 to 14 km without aid; one section may have up to 17 km between aid stations. A hydration pack is recommended.
Aid stations provide water, an electrolyte drink, PB & J and sweet and salty snacks. Events are cup-less so participants must bring a collapsible cup or personal bottle. GPX files from the 2025 event are available and the 2026 course will be similar in route, elevation and terrain.
Logistics and inclusions: there is an overall 8 hour cutoff to complete the course. Race fees do not include park admission. Registration includes a t-shirt, race bib, a custom finisher's medal for finishers and food and drinks at aid stations. The event partners with La Sportiva, which will bring a demo shoe fleet and run giveaways, and with THN Labs, which supplies gels in race kits and at aid stations made from maple syrup, tahini, sea salt and rowanberry extract.
Refund and transfer policy: a 100% race credit is available up to 30 days before the race; cancellations within 30 days are not accommodated, but bib transfers are allowed. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
