North Country Honor Run
The North Country Honor Run is scheduled for May 16, 2026, at 202 US Oval in Plattsburgh, New York. The event recognizes local veterans and coincides with an Honor Flight send-off from Plattsburgh.
Seventh grade students from Beekmantown Middle School and North Country Honor Flight organized the event and will run fundraising activities; all proceeds benefit North Country Honor Flight. Runners and walkers join veterans for a portion of the parade route and run alongside the Honor Flight motorcade as part of the send-off escort.
The event program includes multiple participation options:
- 5K
- 1 Mile US Oval Walk
- 1 Mile Bike Brigade
The Bike Brigade includes a patriotic bike decorating station and is part of the Honor Flight escort. Children age 5 and under may participate in some activities at no cost. Registration for the races includes a North Country Honor Run 5K & 1 Mile t-shirt while supplies last. Prizes will be awarded to the top three runners and for best dressed.
