No Sun Fun Run
The No Sun Fun Run is a non-competitive, chip-timed community run held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, on the Nathan Chapman Memorial Trail in Pierce County. The event runs regardless of weather conditions, including rain, hail, sleet, or snow, and the organizer notes that there is "no such thing as bad weather, only bad clothes."
The course is a forested 5K that is described as very flat and stroller-friendly. The route starts at Heritage Recreation Center, circles the baseball fields, heads south to make a large counterclockwise loop around South Hill Park and forested wetlands, returns toward the lower soccer fields, continues north along 94th Avenue, proceeds west through the lower parking lot next to Zeiger Elementary, and finishes between Fields #2 and #3 inside the sports complex.
Registration for the event has sold out. Pre-registration had a fee of $35 per participant and included a keepsake medal; the first 200 registered participants were to receive the race keepsake medal. Race packets were scheduled for distribution at the event check-in location. Check-in and parking are available at Heritage Recreation Center, entrance off 128th Street, 9010 - 128th St. E., Puyallup, WA 98375.
Race results for the chip-timed 5K are posted on the event website about one week after the race. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
