44th Annual NJSP 5K Chase
The NJSP 5K Chase is an annual running event organized at 1040 River Road in West Trenton, New Jersey. Sponsored by the State Police Memorial Association, the event coincides with a Family Open House and a visit to the New Jersey State Police Museum and Learning Center. The race is open to the general public as well as law enforcement personnel.
The event features several registration categories:
- 5K Run - Enlisted (New Jersey State Troopers)
- 5K Run - Law Enforcement (local, county, and other full-time armed officials)
- 5K Run - Civilian (open to the general public)
Participants receive a t-shirt and a finisher medal. Following the main race, the event includes a Kids Fun Run and an awards ceremony. Food and refreshments are provided for attendees. No in-person registration is available on the day of the event.
The awards ceremony recognizes first-place winners in various individual and team categories. Recognition is given to the top male and female finishers in the open, law enforcement, and state trooper divisions. Team awards require a minimum of three members, with winners determined by the combined time of the top three finishers. Age group medals are also distributed for categories ranging from 14 and under to 70 and older.
Proceeds from the event support the NJ State Police Memorial Association, which maintains the history of the New Jersey State Police and the agency's museum. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
