NJ Turnpike Five Presented by Wakefern ShopRite
The NJ Turnpike Five is a 5K run/walk held on the New Jersey Turnpike at Exit 15X Helix in Secaucus. The out and back course climbs the helix, proceeds toward the tollbooths, and returns along the Turnpike, providing views from the helix and roadway.
Event check-in and packet pickup take place at the Secaucus Junction parking lot. The listed address for check-in is 650 Paul Amico Way, Secaucus, NJ 07094; participants cross Paul Amico Way and follow the sidewalk and breezeway into the parking lot to check in.
Registration options and fees include a standard registration that costs $40 and includes an event t-shirt, race bib, and finisher medal; a pre-event mailing option for $50 that sends the t-shirt and bib before the event with the finisher medal provided after the race; and on-site registration for $50 available on race day at check-in. Online registration closes Sept. 24 and the pre-event mailing option closes Sept. 4. Awards include medals for the top three male and the top three female finishers.
Fundraising activity for 2026 shows $31,884 raised toward a $65,000 goal. Proceeds support Special Olympics New Jersey programs, including sports training, competitions, leadership programs, and health screenings provided free to athletes.
