Format, course and logistics
Distances and formats:
- 4-hour solo
- 12-hour solo
- 12-hour 4-person relay
The course is a rolling loop on forested single track and cross-country ski trails atop the 8,100-foot Casper Mountain. The route has minimal to moderate technical difficulty and is timed overnight. Runners change direction each lap: odd-numbered laps are clockwise and even-numbered laps are counterclockwise. Participants and crews may use the start/lap/finish area to stage and rest between laps; participants should check in and out at the start/finish after each lap and follow county park rules for camping and parking. Every participant receives a finisher award. Overall first-place awards are given for male and female solo winners in both the 4-hour and 12-hour events and for the winning 12-hour 4-person relay. A hot breakfast is provided to participants after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
