Night Crawler Endurance Challenge
The Night Crawler Endurance Challenge is an overnight, time based trail event held on Casper Mountain in central Wyoming. The event is staged from the Start/Finish/Lap area in the Nordic stadium near the Casper Mountain Trails Center at 9301 Casper Mountain Rd. The course runs on forested trails atop the 8,100 foot mountain and uses a new course layout for this edition.
The event offers multiple participation formats so runners may choose how long and how often they run. Participants may rest between laps at the start/lap/finish area and set up a tent, hammock, or chair. Organizers describe the format as having no DNF status; runners complete as many laps or hours as they wish within the chosen time window. Packet pick up and registration windows are specified by the organizers, and there is no race day registration.
Additional event facts: WYRun partnered with Fat Fish Racing for the weekend. Every participant receives a finisher award and the top overall female and male in 4 hour and 12 hour solo categories, plus the top 12 hour four person relay team, will receive awards. The first 50 registered participants are guaranteed a race souvenir. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
