Nicholas Fillinger Memorial Run
An annual memorial run held on the campus of St. Bernard Prep School at 1600 St. Bernard Dr. SE in Cullman, Alabama. The event features a 5K race with a registration fee of $30. Registration opens April 25 and closes July 5.
The event honors the memory of Nicholas Fillinger, who died in a training accident in September 2013, and benefits the Cullman Cross Country program and The Link. There is a team challenge that requires at least five runners to score; teams may be coed and all teams must be submitted before race day.
Awards include overall male and female winners, male and female masters winners, top three medals in age groups for both sexes across the listed ranges, and trophies for the top three teams. Age group categories include 12 and under, 13-17, 18-22, 23-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60-99.
