13th Annual Nicholas Fillinger Memorial Run
The 13th annual Nicholas Fillinger Memorial Run takes place on July 18, 2026 on the campus of St. Bernard Prep School in Cullman, Alabama. The event includes a 5K running race and honors Nicholas Fillinger, who died in a training accident in September 2013. The run benefits the Nicholas Fillinger Foundation, which provides educational opportunities, a scholarship award, and encouragement to persevere through life’s trials.
The event features a team challenge with scoring for teams that have at least five runners; teams may be coed. Teams must be submitted before July 17 with a team name and the list of members, and each team member must be registered online. Registration opens April 25, 2026 at 18:40 and closes July 5, 2026 at 00:59; the registration fee is $30.00. Awards include overall male and female winners, overall masters male and female winners, top three medals in multiple age groups (12 and under, 13-17, 18-22, 23-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-99), and trophies for the top three teams.
