About the race
The NHS Alumni Association Turkey Trot is a community 5K run held in Napoleon, Ohio on 11/21/2026. The event uses Charles Buckenmeyer Stadium as the new start and finish location and begins from the NHS track. Participation is open to everyone; Napoleon High School alumni are not required.
Registration opens on 10/14/2026 and closes on 11/13/2026. The registration fee is $30. Prizes will be awarded to top finishers. Participants are welcome to wear warm running gear or holiday costumes.
The course departs the NHS track, runs north out of the parking lot, turns right onto Clairmont Avenue, then right onto Briarheath Avenue. Runners turn left onto Bales Road, then right on Glenwood to Frostyboy. The route continues right on West Riverview into the park, follows the park and returns via the new bike path ramp. After crossing West Riverview, the course follows the bike path down Jahns Road, turns right on Bales Road to the highway garage crossing, crosses onto the NHS bike path, goes left around the baseball fields, reenters the NHS bus lot through the west entrance, and returns to the start and finish at Charles Buckenmeyer Stadium.
Proceeds support the Napoleon High School Alumni Association and its mission to support Napoleon Area Schools students, alumni, staff, and community members. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
