Newton Falls Covered Bridge 4-Miler

The Newton Falls Covered Bridge 4-Miler is an out-and-back road race held in Newton Falls, Ohio. The course begins and ends at Newton Falls Elementary School and takes participants through residential streets toward the downtown area. A primary feature of the route is the passage through the historic covered bridge located in the center of town.

Participants can choose to complete the distance as a run or a walk:

  • 4-Mile Run/Walk

The event uses a fully-automatic timing (FAT) camera system to record results, which are later published on digital platforms. Registration is available online in advance or in person on the morning of the event at the elementary school. Participation is free of charge, though donations are accepted to support the Newton Falls Cross Country program and Athletic Boosters.

Facilities include parking at both the Newton Falls Elementary School and the adjacent Junior High and High School. Participants receive finisher medals upon completion, and awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers. Assorted t-shirts are provided to those who provide a donation during the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
