The Newmarket Half Marathon takes place on 31 May 2026 at Newmarket Racecourse, Rowley Mile Racecourse, Cambridge Road, Newmarket CB8 0TF, United Kingdom. The event is run on fully closed roads and follows a one lap tarmac course through open countryside, with a total elevation gain of 212 m.
The event is chip timed and includes a unique themed medal, free race photos, chip timed results and post race goodies. Marshals are present on the course and there is an event village offering a range of food and drink options, including free items from partner stalls.
The event supports Wintercomfort, listed as the 2026 Charity of the Year. Wintercomfort is an information, advice, training and support centre in Cambridge that works with people who are sleeping rough, using local night shelters, sofa surfing, living in temporary accommodation or who are vulnerably housed. It operates daily and provides services such as hot meals, showers, laundry and clothing alongside wider support to help people gain skills and confidence.
