Newfound Firecracker 5K
The Newfound Firecracker 5K is the 13th annual road race held on July 4, 2026 in Bristol, New Hampshire. The event is organized by the Newfound High School Cross Country Program, and proceeds support that program. The course begins at the far end of Kelley Park near Newfound Middle School and will be held rain or shine.
Timing for the race will be provided by Speed Sport Timing. Race t-shirts are reserved for the first 60 participants who pre-register by June 16, though shirts are not guaranteed for all pre-registered entrants. Medals are awarded to the top male and top female runners in four age groups: under 13, 13 to 17, 18 to 39, and 40 and over. All racers are entered in a race day raffle for prizes.
Registration opens May 1, 2026 and closes July 3, 2026. The published fees are a pre-registration rate of $25 plus a $2.50 credit card fee, and a race day fee of $45.
