Henderson Newcastle Marathon and Half Marathon : Newcastle Foreshore, 18 April 2027
The event offers two race distances:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
Both races start and finish at the Foreshore Car Park off Wharf Rd near Customs House in Newcastle, NSW. The course runs along Newcastle harbour and beaches, including Honeysuckle Foreshore, Carrington, Nobbys and Newcastle Beach. The route will be remeasured and AIMS accredited. The marathon is run as four laps of the loop described, with sections on closed roads and wide footpaths; some narrower sections will be managed by marshals.
Facilities and services included with entry: electronic timing with a bib chip, finisher medals for all finishers, race bib number, regular drink stations on each lap (including electrolyte and water), special needs tables, medical services, and a secure bag area with numbered bag tagging. Toilets are located at the start/finish and at several points on course.
Entries follow staged pricing (first release, standard, late) and age category assignments are automatic on registration; published age divisions start at 16 and continue in decade bands to 70+. The marathon awards a total prize pool of $3,500 distributed to the top three overall finishers equally between male and female categories.
