New York Brain Tumor Walk
The New York Brain Tumor Walk is scheduled for September 20, 2026 at Jones Beach Field 5 in Wantagh, New York. The event brings together the local brain tumor community to raise awareness and funds to support the needs of brain tumor patients and their families. It is presented as a family friendly morning with activities for all ages.
Program elements on the day include a beach remembrance ceremony to honor those who have died, a survivor tribute during the opening portion of the event, and a kids area with activities. Check-in and t-shirt pick-up will be available in the morning. In-person registrants who register prior to August 20, 2026 may receive an event t-shirt; virtual participants who raise $75 or more by August 20, 2026 will have t-shirts mailed to them.
The walk route is approximately 3.1 mi. Light refreshments will be available and parking is provided on-site. The event will be held rain or shine. Registration categories listed for event week include Walker, Youth Walker (12 and under), and Volunteer; volunteers may include groups, schools, community organizations, families and individuals and student community service hours are available.
