The New Year’s Day Dash takes place on January 1, 2026 in Long Beach, CA. The event offers the following distances:
- 5K

The races use out-and-back courses along the shoreline. The 5K route is used for the 5K (one lap) and the 10K (two laps). The 10-Miler uses a 5-mile route run twice. The Half Marathon combines the 5-mile route twice plus the 5K route once.
Course, support and results
The beach path is an open course; participants should stay on the right side of the path for pedestrians while cyclists use the left side. A fully stocked water station is located at the Belmont Pier. The finish area has an aid station with water, Gatorade, gels, and fruit snacks. Each on-course station has a first aid kit and High Tide Runs crew members trained in CPR. Turns are marked with chalk, a runner turn sign, and a flag.
