New River Marathon, Half Marathon & 5K - Todd, North Carolina
The New River Marathon, Half Marathon and 5K take place May 15-16, 2026 in Todd, North Carolina. The event includes separate races plus combo entries for marathon with 5K and half marathon with 5K; registration for 2026 is open.
The courses run along the New River valley and pass views of horse farms, Christmas tree farms and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The New River is designated an American Heritage River. The marathon, half and 5K are USATF certified and report substantial mileage along the river.

- Marathon - 26.2 miles; 22.5 miles along the river
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles; 9.5 miles along the river
- 5K - 3.1 miles; 2.0 miles along the river
Finishers receive locally crafted awards, including wooden medallions made from Blue Ridge Mountain wood, and finisher goodies from local partners such as Stick Boy Bread Co. Kitchen.
