Never Walk Alone
Never Walk Alone is a community event organized by teenagers from the Orrville Area Boys and Girls Club on August 1, 2026 in Orrville, Ohio. The teens developed the event to raise awareness about mental health and to emphasize community togetherness. Funds raised will support Erika's Lighthouse, which provides mental health services in Wayne County and elsewhere.
The event offers the following distances:
- 5K Run/Walk
- 1 Mile Walk
Registration opens April 3, 2026 and closes April 30, 2026. Registration fees are $25 for the 5K and $12 for the 1 mile walk. Registration includes a t-shirt in sizes Youth Small to Large and Adult Small to 2X-Large. A no-shirt option reduces the fee by $5. T-shirt availability and selection will be limited after July 12.
Awards for the 5K include top overall woman and man and top woman and man in each age group: 1-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70+. The 1 Mile Walk recognizes the top overall woman and man. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
