Nettleden Duathlon
The Nettleden Duathlon is organised by a group of friends from Aldbury and takes place in the grounds of Nettleden Lodge near Berkhamsted. The event follows a run-cycle-run format and can be entered by individuals or by relay teams.
The race consists of:
- 6 km run
- 24 km cycle
- 6 km run
Tea, coffee and cake are available in the morning, and there is a barbecue afterwards. The event raises funds for three charities (hyh.org.uk, cancerresearchuk.org, harrisonsfund.com) and the organisers state that 100% of money raised is donated.
Children are welcome to attend and there is a separate fun race for younger participants. The kids' races are organised by year group for ages 4 to 14, take place on loops within the grounds and are held away from public roads. There is no formal entry required for the children’s events, which are free and can be entered on the day. Prize giving for the duathlon is followed by the children’s racing.
