Event overview

The Netherhall 10 Mile Road Race takes place in Maryport, Great Britain, on 22 February 2026. Registration opens on 1 December 2025 and takes place in the sports centre area at the back of the school. Race numbers are issued at registration. Parking is available at the school. Toilets and showers are available in the school sports centre. If the event does not sell out, entries on the day are an additional £3 on the online entry price. Withdrawals and number swaps are allowed up to 20 February 2025; refunds are subject to a small processing charge and no refunds or changes of runner are given after that date.

Course, safety and prizes

The route starts down the road from the school and finishes in the lay-by near the school entrance. It is an anticlockwise single-lap course on mainly undulating country roads, passing through Dearham, Bulgill and Crosby on the West Cumbrian coast. The course is officially measured and certified accurate by the Association of UK Course Measurers. The route will be signed and marshalled. Roads remain open to traffic, so runners must follow the race director’s instructions and marshals. A drinks station is provided at around 5 miles and drinks are available at the finish. First aid provision will be on site. A lead bike or car and a sweeper runner will be present. Prizes are presented during the post-race buffet: 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female; veteran male and female prizes in five-year age categories from age 35; and 1st male and female junior prize for ages 17-20. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
