Nebraska State Fair Marathon : August 29, 2026
The Nebraska State Fair Marathon takes place on the Nebraska State Fairgrounds in Grand Island, Nebraska. All races start and finish on the fairgrounds and conclude with a post-race gathering amid the State Fair activities.
Race distances include:
- Marathon
- Half Marathon
- Marathon Relay for four-person teams
- 5K
- One Mile Kids Run
- Push Rim Wheelchair
- Handcycle
The full marathon course is a certified Boston qualifier. The relay is organized for teams of four and coed teams must include at least two women to be eligible for awards. Participants receive a commemorative finisher medal, a custom event shirt (long sleeve tech shirts for marathon, half marathon and relay; short sleeve shirts for 5K and one mile), admission to the Nebraska State Fair, post-race snacks and beverages, and one complimentary alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage for those 21 and over.
Free parking for athletes and spectators is available in the Northwest parking lot off State Fair Boulevard; attendees should enter the fairgrounds through the Main Gate. Spectator tickets are required to view the start and finish and a password for discounted advance tickets is provided in the participant confirmation message.
