Nebraska State Fair Marathon - Grand Island, Nebraska
The Nebraska State Fair Marathon takes place on August 29, 2026, on the Nebraska State Fairgrounds in Grand Island. The event marks its 12th year and stages multiple race distances that start and finish on the fairgrounds, followed by a post-race celebration among the fair activities. Free parking for athletes and spectators is available in the Northwest parking lot off State Fair Blvd, and attendees enter the fairgrounds through the Main Gate.

The full marathon course is certified as a Boston Qualifier. The relay is organized for four-person teams; for award eligibility coed teams must include at least two women. Participant benefits listed for all events include a commemorative finisher medal, a custom event shirt (gender specific long sleeve tech shirts for Marathon, Half Marathon and Relay; short sleeve shirts for 5K and 1-Mile), admission to the Nebraska State Fair, post-race snacks and beverages, and one free alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverage (21+). Spectator tickets are required to view the race start and finish and may be purchased in advance; a password is provided in registration confirmation.
