NDHA 5k & 1k Say Ahh for Awareness
The Nevada Dental Hygienists' Association organizes an event to raise awareness for oral cancer, which almost 60,000 Americans are diagnosed with annually. The event raises funds for the Pharar Foundation, a Las Vegas head and neck cancer foundation whose mission is to protect and enhance patients’ quality of life through dental health and to transform well being for people affected by cancer.
Events are based at Floyd Lamb Park, 9200 Tule Springs Rd, Las Vegas NV 89131, and include an in person 5k and 1k plus a virtual 5k option. Free oral cancer screenings are available to every participant. Registration periods and fees are as follows: the in person 5k and 1k open on 6/5/2026 and close on 8/15/2026 with fees of $40 and $25 respectively; the virtual 5k opens on 6/5/2026 and closes on 11/7/2026 with a fee of $35.

- 5k: 3.2 miles on the Tule Springs Loop, groomed dirt trail.
- 1k: paved route at Floyd Lamb Park, child, wheelchair and stroller friendly.
- Virtual 5k: complete remotely; shirt is mailed to participants.
