NDHA 5k & 1k: Say Ahh for Awareness
The event takes place on November 7, 2026 at Floyd Lamb Park / Tule Springs, located at 9200 Tule Springs Rd, Las Vegas, NV 89131, US. It is organized to raise awareness for oral cancer and to raise funds for a local Las Vegas head and neck cancer foundation, the Pharar Foundation.
The event offers multiple participation options:
- 5k Trail - 3.1 miles on Tule Springs Loop, groomed dirt trail
- 1k Paved Walk - 1 kilometer, wheelchair and stroller friendly, Floyd Lamb Park paved trail
- Virtual 5k - 3.1 miles, complete remotely; shirt mailed to participant
Registration details are provided for each option. In-person registration opens June 5, 2026 and closes August 15, 2026 with fees listed as $40 for the 5k and $25 for the 1k. Virtual 5k registration opens June 5, 2026 and closes November 7, 2026 with a fee of $35.
Free oral cancer screenings are available to every participant. The Pharar Foundation supports patients affected by cancer with a focus on dental health and on protecting and enhancing patients' quality of life. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
