ND Shakespeare Festival : Rude Run (5th Annual)
The North Dakota Shakespeare Festival presents the 5th Annual Rude Run, a 5K fun run/walk taking place on June 6, 2026, with start and finish at Town Square in Grand Forks. The event will be held in person and features live actors who deliver scripted Shakespearean insults or motivational lines along the course.
Entry is based on a suggested donation that includes a race tee, a race bib, and snacks and water on race day. Organizers note that shirt sizes are guaranteed for registrations completed by May 22. The suggested donation package also advertises over 140 insults provided by professional actors.
The Rude Run is advertised as a fun run. The event will use a race clock and will have award categories, but it is not a chip timed event. Funds raised through the event are designated to support efforts to bring more free, professional Shakespeare productions to the greater Grand Forks community.
The project receives support from arts and community grant programs and local partners, including the North Dakota Council on the Arts, the City of Grand Forks Arts Re-Grant program, Visit Grand Forks, and the Iseminger Fund for the Arts at the Community Foundation of Grand Forks, East Grand Forks & Region.
