NC Potato Festival Tater Trot
The NC Potato Festival Tater Trot is an annual athletic event held in Elizabeth City, North Carolina. Sponsored by the United States Coast Guard Enlisted Association (CGEA) in partnership with the North Carolina Potato Festival, the event celebrates the local community and its designation as a Coast Guard City. The race serves as a support mechanism for Coast Guard members, their families, and the surrounding community.
Participants can choose from the following distances:
- 5K timed run
- 1 Mile fun walk and run
Both the 5K and the 1 Mile events begin at the same time and location, starting at Charles Creek Park on Riverside Avenue. The 5K course is a timed race recorded by Mettle Events, while the 1 Mile Tater Tot Trot is organized as a fun walk and run.
Registration includes race swag for those who sign up before the early May deadline. The event is open to participants of all ages.
