Navy Divers 50 K Run 2026
The Fleet Diving Unit (Atlantic) hosts the 44th annual Navy Divers 50 K Run on 17 October 2026 in Shearwater, Nova Scotia, held in conjunction with and in support of the CTV Christmas Daddies Telethon. The event begins at the Shearwater Sports and Fitness Center and starts the fundraising campaign to help less fortunate children in the Maritime Provinces.
The course follows the Shearwater Flyer Trail, the Salt Marsh Trail and the Atlantic View Trail for a total distance of 50 km delivered as 25 km out and 25 km back. The event is open to civilians and military; all profit from participant entry fees will be donated to the Christmas Daddies Charity.
On-site registration is available. The entry fee for the full Navy Diver Run is listed as CA$100. There is a seven hour cutoff for finishing. Aid is provided with a water station every 10 km.
Due to a limited budget the event does not use chip timing. Participant times are recorded by stopwatch from the race start to finish, and results are compiled and emailed to participants after completion. Organizers note an intention to pursue chip timing in future years if resources allow. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
