Nav4 Ullswater Way & Challenge
The NAV4 Ullswater Way & Challenge is a scenic endurance event held around Ullswater Lake in the Lake District, starting from Parkin Memorial Hall in Pooley Bridge. Participants can choose between two routes: the 20-mile low-level Ullswater Way, which follows the lakeshore, and the more demanding 24-mile Challenge route that includes a high-level fell path around Glencoyne, offering spectacular views. The course is clockwise around the lake, passing landmarks like The Cockpit, Howtown, Hallin Fell, and Aira Force.
The event is not a race but welcomes runners and walkers alike, with several checkpoints providing food and drink. The Challenge route is weather-dependent and requires good fell skills. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
