Nature Calls Trail Race : Lula Lake Land Trust, Chattanooga, TN
This is a low key, no frills, low cost, no awards social race that can be run or hiked. Both courses are entirely on trails at Lula Lake Land Trust near Chattanooga.
The event offers the following distances:
- 15K - High Adventure trail with rope section; descent to Lula Falls bottom
- 5K - easy trail course in the Lula Lake Land Trust area
The 5K course is described as very easy for the area. The 15K route includes sections that require extra effort and technical footing, including a rope-assisted section and a difficult trail that travels down to the bottom of Lula Falls. Hikers may participate if they can maintain a 16 minute per mile pace. Cutoff times are 50 minutes for the 5K and 3 hours for the 15K.
Participants will be offered post race snacks and beverages. Proceeds from the event benefit the Lula Lake Land Trust. Registration closes June 20. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
