NJT Namma 5K Run
The NJT Namma 5K Run takes place at Oak Ridge Park in Clark, New Jersey. The event features a scenic course through the park grounds, which include playgrounds, picnic areas, and accessible parking facilities. Participants can choose between two main activities:
- 5K Run
- 1 Mile Fun Walk
The race includes electronic chip timing for those participating in the 5K distance. All participants receive a finisher medal upon completion, and awards are presented to the winners. Additionally, event t-shirts are provided to the first 200 individuals who register. Post-race refreshments and various family-oriented activities are available throughout the morning.
This event serves as a fundraiser for youth mental health and global education. A portion of the proceeds is allocated to youth mental health initiatives in partnership with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) New Jersey. Furthermore, the event supports the Sponsor a Child program, which focuses on providing educational opportunities for children in India.
